Drinking Herbal Teas Australia Prostate tea can be a life changer. It’s an herbal tea blends that is designed to help with any inflammation or prostate enlargement and ensure a better night’s sleep.
This tea contains an ingredient, Epilobium, that is an effective herb for all kinds of diagnosed benign (non-cancerous) prostate disorders. German studies have confirmed that Epilobium contains the active ingredient beta-sitosterol, a plant hormone that shrinks enlarged prostates.
The prostate gland is found only in men and is a chestnut-sized gland that lies just below the bladder and surrounds the urethra. When enlarged, the prostate pinches off the flow of urine, causing the characteristic frequent trips to the toilet.
A classic sign is waking frequently at night with the urge to urinate and sometimes finding it difficult to do so. These symptoms will gradually increase in severity until urine flow becomes extremely difficult and limited. It is a life-changing condition that can impact all lifestyle activities.
By the age of 50 years, it is estimated that nearly a third of men will experience some symptoms of an enlarged prostate. Prostate enlargement is the most common prostate disorder, but when this develops into prostatitis, which is inflammation, it can become a very serious health issue.
Our Prostate tea has exceptional long-term therapeutic effects and should ideally be taken daily by all men over 50. Epilobium has an inflammation-inhibiting effect, so it can be useful for a chronically irritated bladder, or from acute inflammation of the bladder or urethra.
As well as Epilobium, I have used Saw Palmetto, which is a plant used in traditional Native American medicine to support prostate health and function. Saw palmetto seems to lower the amount of pressure on the tubes that carry urine in males.
Other ingredients are Pau D’Arco, which is antifungal, antiseptic, and anti-inflammatory, and Siberian Ginseng which can soothe the kidneys and glands, including the prostate gland.
Epilobium has a very interesting story. When I designed the Prostate tea blend, I took the lead from renowned Australian herbalist, Hilde Hemmes. It was through an old German herbal book that Hilde made the connection between the herb Epilobium and prostate issues suffered by many men.
A great endorsement for this herb is by some very prominent Australians who have used it and sung its praise, including Bob Jane, the motoring magnate, Pro Hart, a renowned artist, and best of all, Smoky Dawson, one of Australia’s living music legends, who wrote a song extolling the efficacy of Epilobium. Replacing caffeinated drinks with this tea and drinking it once a day will make a significant difference.
